According to Decision No. 219/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister approving the Bac Giang provincial plan for the period of 2021-2030 with a vision towards 2050, the industry is identified as the main driving force for growth, in order to make Bac Giang one of the industrial development centers of the region.
According to local statistics, as of April 2022, there are 9 industrial zones that have been approved for construction planning in the province. Of these, 8 industrial zones have been approved by the Prime Minister for investment with a total natural land area of about 1,792.5 hectares, and 5 industrial zones are currently in operation.
These include the Viet Han Industrial Zone with an area of 197.31 hectares; Hoa Phu Industrial Zone with an area of 207.45 hectares; Tan Hung Industrial Zone with an area of 105.3 hectares; Yen Lu Industrial Zone with an area of 377 hectares; Yen Son - Bac Lung Industrial Zone with an area of 300 hectares.

It is known that the Song Khe - Noi Hoang Industrial Zone South Planning Project with an area of 44.91 hectares located on both sides of National Highway 17, belonging to the administrative boundaries of Tien Phong and Noi Hoang communes, Yen Dung district, has also been approved.
The Song Khe - Noi Hoang Industrial Zone South has the nature of a multi-sector concentrated industrial zone, including the processing of agriculture and forestry products, food processing, machinery manufacturing, electronic components, packaging, and supporting industries, as well as transportation services, accommodation, and food services, financial and banking services, administrative and support services.
According to the spatial organization solution, the main traffic axis is National Highway 17 with a width of 36m, which connects the spatial axes, buildings, factory areas, administrative and service areas, gardens, and parking lots with each other. Trees are planted on both sides of the sidewalks to create landscapes and reduce dust.
The location of transportation connection points between internal and external roads is an important spatial area, such as the main gate, industrial zone auxiliary gate, and southward residential road for people's transportation, which does not affect the operations within the industrial zone. Trees are concentrated, and green trees are arranged along the QL17 road and the residential road between functional areas, ensuring minimized noise and dust. Service areas and operation centers are located near the main traffic axis for convenient management and operation, including office buildings, operation centers, services, and gardens.
The main priority investment construction items are public works, services, administration, production workshops, and technical infrastructure such as transportation systems, water supply and drainage systems, power supply, and wastewater treatment areas.
It is known that in the Bac Giang province planning period of 2021-2030, with a vision towards 2050, the province plans to develop 29 industrial zones with an area of 7,000 hectares and 63 industrial clusters with an area of about 3,906 hectares by 2030.
